1. Test first if when in game if the home button, which opens the Rockstar Social Club, causes your game to crash (many mods do so). If it does cause your game to crash you will need to temporarily disable your mods just for the installation of the reshade application.2. Once the mods are temporarily disabled and pulled out of the game directory folder聽 (if needed) be sure to create a copy of the reshade folder that is currently in the directory if you want to go back to the original later.3. Paste in the files from the Realistic Reshade With No Performance mod files and click yes to replace existing files in the game directory folder.4. Download Reshade.me and launch the setup. It will ask you to select a game or application find Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2.exe) and select next.5. Select either DirectX 10/11/12 or Vulkan depending on which one you are using in game and select next (To determine you can go to the in game graphics settings and go to the Advanced Graphics area and it will be listed under Graphics API if you are using either DirectX or Vulkan).6. Select preset to install - click Browse and locate Simple Lighting&Color file which you placed in the game directory with .ini as the file extension and select Open - Click Next.7. Select effect packages to install window will appear and select Next (DO NOT SELECT SKIP). The effects will download and it will show Successfully installed ReShade once it is complete and select Finish.聽8. Launch the game - you should see text dialogue at the top of the screen stating to press the Home key to start the tutorial. Press Home as soon as possible before loading to main screen so the Rockstar Social Club Overlay does not block the Reshade screen.9. Select Skip Tutorial button. You will have several tabs at the top of the menu listed Home Add-ons Settings etc. Select Settings tab and replace Overlay key with something other than the Home button. (CANNOT BE HOME BUTTON)聽10. Also under Effect toggle key - set it to a key that is not Home to toggle the reshade on or off. (CANNOT BE HOME BUTTON)11. Now hit the overlay key which you assigned to closeout of the reshade menu. Select the key which you set to toggle the reshade effect and test that it works.12. If everything works great, you can reinstall/activate your mods if you needed to remove them from the beginning.聽
